Papers: Contents

Below are various articles published in socialist papers.

Please note that, as most people's do, my ideas have changed significantly over time, and I would no longer make all the arguments you'll read here. But I leave them online in case they are of interest to anyone as part of the history of the events happening as they were written, or the story of the groups they were written for.

Articles

Weekly Worker

I was a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain for a little over a year before I resigned with disagreements on both organisational and political questions in June 2004. During my membership I wrote some fifty articles for the Weekly Worker, writing a page or more of most issues. They are collected here, along with PDF copies of the issues in which they appeared.

Tiny Red Book

In July of 2004 I was part of a small group of comrades from the Communist Party of Great Britain, the Peace Party, and the Alliance for Workers Liberty, who formed the Red Party. Based on discussion and ideas contributed by all the members of the group, I drafted a brief statement of our politics, which became affectionately known as the Tiny Red Book. The text, and a downloadable PDF version, is available here.

Red Star

The Red Party published a paper called the Red Star. I designed and co-edited the first two issues, before suffering one of my cyclic bouts of depression, resigning my membership, and withdrawing from group politics. The articles I wrote in those first two issues, and PDF versions of the papers themselves, are available here.

Red Leaflets

The Red Party also produced a series of leaflets for distribution at community and political events, two of which I drafted. The text and PDF versions of these are provided here.
